What is Executive Coaching? Coaching is an action-oriented partnership between a coach and an executive that concentrates on where you are today and how you can reach your goals. Coaching is not mentoring, psychotherapy, or advice.

THE PROCESS:
1. Establish a relationship and decide how to work together.
a. Meet with each other & discuss the coaching process
b. Clarify what you want from the work
c. Discuss how we will know when you're finished
d. Discuss what you expect from me
e. Discuss what I expect of you
f. Decide if we want to work together
g. Create a coaching agreement
2. Plan and complete an assessment.
a. Determine the future you prefer (if you know at this time)
b. Decide what information is needed to assess the present
c. Determine how to get that information (surveys, interviews, observation)
d. Collect the data and analyze it together
e. Look at what's not working and consider how to compensate
f. Look at what is working and consider how to build on it
3. Construct a change implementation plan.
a. Decide what to build on and what to let go of, or compensate for
b. Explore alternative choices and options
c. Decide what needs to be learned
d. Co-create a change implementation plan
4. Periodically measure results.
